School relocation4
THE RELOCATION of the Riverland Special School has been ongoing since 2004 when the governments wanted to redevelop the existing site when there was around 40 plus students.

Embellished headline1
IN REFERENCE to the police report headed 'Teen bashed at fundraiser' in a recent edition of The Murray Pioneer (30/3/10), I would like to express my disappointment in your reporting of the incident.

Cut immigration now
IN MY 65 years I've never voted Liberal, or Labor for that matter.

Schapelle’s horror story3
SCHAPELLE CORBY'S on the cover of Woman’s Day again.

Will police please fine the bus driver that double parks in front of the Renmark post office in the afternoons? The bus is empty of passengers, parks in front of people who want to get out, stops people who want to pull in and then fails to give way when leaving. Come back in your car after, dude, or park somewhere more appropriate and walk. You're abusing your position and being completely unfair to others.

Pam Perre you’re doing a great job and really appealing to the youth of the Riverland (Text the Editor, 16/12/11). I think Rob of Paringa should show the Riverland how good his writing skills are.
KATE

To the Pam bashers: Pamela Perre is a genius. The newspaper should be renamed 'The Murray Pamelaneer’. Haters gonna hate.

Good on Pam Perre, another journalist on the way up. Don’t worry about jealous types.

The negativity towards summer sport in The Pioneer (H&C, 16/12/11) is not warranted in many cases. As things turn around from the economic downturn, summer sports will improve as well. In the case of cricket, we have to remember that although there are only four A grade sides, there are also 11 B grade teams and four in the Renmark District competition. That’s 209 cricketers playing every Saturday. Then there are more in the Mid Murray and Mallee. If more were playing A grade cricket and all under the RTCA banner it would be super strong.

The pollies get a pay rise? The ones in government I can understand, but the Opposition? Besides saying no to everything, they have done nothing. What a joke. Rob from Berri’s been a bit quiet.

A merger? No thanks, Berri Barmera Council. Everybody I know in Renmark is dead against it. For instance, it would take away the competitiveness in our sporting endeavours. But most of all there would be in-fighting that would cause more debate than solutions. And don’t forget Berri’s high rates.

What a beautiful photo of some truly beautiful people, the lovely Smith family of Renmark Auto Service (The Pioneer, 16/12/11). Best wishes for the future.

‘Crows confirm camp’ (The Pioneer, 13/12/11). Not a surprise, really!

To Lo of Berri (Text the Editor, 16/12/11), people have lives, you know. We can shop where we please and go where there’s a bit more action and variety. It’s a free country.

Doris Phelps really does make a lot of valid points (The Pioneer, 16/12/11). Maybe she should be interviewed on national TV.

I watched a bit of soccer on the TV the other day between Weder Breman and Wolfsberg and at least 10 of them deserved an Academy Award for best actor. One touch they go into epileptic fits. Thank goodness of Aussie rules and rugby.

I don’t like loose rubbish in the form of newspapers chucked into my front yard.

Nice to hear the Christmas songs in the main shopping centre of Renmark. Makes for a nice atmosphere.

WIN TV have the Riverland in their hearts (or so they say), so why do Riverlanders have to put up with ads from the South East? Come on, help promote the businesses by displaying Riverland ads on the new channels.
