Embellished headline
IN REFERENCE to the police report headed 'Teen bashed at fundraiser' in a recent edition of The Murray Pioneer (30/3/10), I would like to express my disappointment in your reporting of the incident.
SOME WOULD say this letter is just whingeing and they may have a case.
But I write this letter after putting up with rubbish from bureaucrats - local, state and federal – for too long. Not all of them, mind you, but a good percentage.
It's about time these jokers realise they are put there by the people, to serve the people.
They are not there to dictate to us, but to work for the good of all.
These elected people should be working for outcomes which will benefit communities by way of increased employment and business sustainability.
They should be striving for these goals instead of putting up road blocks and other nonsense rules and regulations.
For the life of me, I cannot understand how such rubbish was started, when generally most of us – other than those in government – can sort out most things by using common-sense.
Yes, we need rules and regulations, but over the past 20 years or so it has reached the point of utter stupidity.
It’s about time we got back to using some common-sense.
If you agree with me, tell these elected dimwits what you think.
