Embellished headline
IN REFERENCE to the police report headed 'Teen bashed at fundraiser' in a recent edition of The Murray Pioneer (30/3/10), I would like to express my disappointment in your reporting of the incident.

Schapelle’s horror story1
SCHAPELLE CORBY'S on the cover of Woman’s Day again.

I WRITE in reference to Pam Perre's column, headed 'Too busy for supermarket lines’ (The Pioneer, 6/7/10).

There are a few things in life I have learnt:
1. In our own worlds, we are all busy.
2. We all (if we are honest to ourselves) judge other people without knowledge of their situation. I try not to but I still do.
3. We all continue to learn every minute of the day and hopefully learn by our mistakes.
Isn't this just human nature to assume we knew what happened?
In reference to the lady in the fast lane in the supermarket, what just happened moments before she went to the fast lane?
Maybe she too was in a hurry? Did she ignore the signage?
Was she asked to go into the lane by staff because it was - at that moment – not busy?
This supermarket scenario has happened to me, and just like Murphy’s law, yep, someone comes along with one or two items and you feel really awful to be there.
Maybe she couldn’t read? Maybe she was just plain rude?
Maybe I could go on, but yes, it’s only human nature to assume or judge.
Keep up the good work with your column Pam.
